The train stations available for Z scale are just about 100% specific to European cultures.  In addition, the one American style station I found had too large of a foot print for my layout.  I decided to build my own from scratch and modeled it off of a nearby train station in Allendale, NJ.  Below are prototype photos and below that is the station scene I built.  The finished product is only a portion of the length of the actual station, but I feel I captured the overall essence of the station.
